Southwest Georgia Health Care, Inc. is a private, non-profit organization which provides comprehensive primary health care. Founded in 1978, SWGHC provides comprehensive primary health care services through 13 centers: eight Family Practice and Internal Medicine offices located in Americus, Cordele, Eastman, Georgetown, Cusseta, Plains, Richland, and Rochelle; two Urgent Care centers in Americus and Cordele; two Pediatrics centers in Americus and Eastman, and one Dental center in Georgetown.
A consumer and community-based board of directors, the majority of whom are patients, gives guidance and direction to our mission. In addition to accepting all major Insurances, Medicare, Medicaid, PeachState, and Wellcare, all services are offered on a sliding fee scale, meaning payment according to one’s income level and family size. SWGHC currently receives grant support under the Consolidated Health Center Program, Section 330(e) of the Public Health Service Act. |
